You can save partial preference settings. This is useful in case you have made settings that only pertain to a certain project or situation, for example. By applying a saved partial preference preset, you only change the saved settings. All other preferences are left unchanged.

Procedure

  1. In the Preferences dialog, make your changes.
  2. Activate Save marked preferences only.

In the preferences list, the Save column is shown.

  3. Click in the Save column of the preference pages that you want to save.
  4. Click Save in the lower left section of the dialog.
  5. Enter a preset name, and click OK.

Result

Your settings are now available from the Preference Presets pop-up menu.
