The Beam Grouping page of the Notation Settings dialog allows you to adjust the default beam grouping rules.
To open the Beam Grouping page, select
, and click Beam Grouping.Specific beam grouping settings apply to bars with a half-bar. A half-bar is the rhythmic position that divides bars into two equal sections when the prevailing time signatures can be divided into four equal beats. Time signatures that have a half-bar include 4/4 and 12/8.
