You can add velocity variance to the velocity of note events. This allows you to modify note velocities randomly during real-time playback in order to make your MIDI performance sound more organic.

By default, velocity variance values are set to 0%, that means, no variance is applied to the velocity.

You can change the velocity variance values by dragging the bars up or down or by changing the corresponding value on the info line. You can add positive or negative values. A value is valid until the start of the next event.

In the controller display, Velocity Variance values are shown on the Velocity Variance controller lane as vertical bars.

On the controller lane, Velocity Variance events are displayed with dashed lines.
