Envelope Follower creates a control signal based on the amplitudes of the audio input. It allows you to add a dynamic and natural effect to your audio, for example, by attenuating peaks matching the rhythm of your drum loop.

Note

Envelope Follower can use a side-chain signal as the modulation source.

Waveform display

Clicking in the waveform display allows you to select a time frame for displaying the modulation output. This is a global setting that applies to all waveform displays of the modulators.

Attack

Determines how fast Envelope Follower responds. If the attack time is long, more of the initial part of the signal passes through without modulation.

Release

Sets the time after which the signal returns to its original level.

Threshold

Determines the level at which Envelope Follower is activated. Only signal levels above the set threshold are processed.

Gain

Allows you to set the amount of attenuation/boost.
