You can move the chord symbols, figured bass, and fingerings popovers manually to input and edit the corresponding items at other positions without closing and reopening the popover.

Popover navigation

Key command

Advance the popover to one of the following positions:

  • Next beat, according to the prevailing time signature (chord symbols/figured bass)

  • Next note/chord in the current voice (fingerings)

Space

Move the popover to one of the following positions:

  • Previous beat, according to the prevailing time signature (chord symbols/figured bass)

  • Previous note/chord in the current voice (fingerings)

Shift-Space

Advance the popover to the start of the next bar

Tab

Move the popover to one of the following positions:

  • Start of the previous bar, if the popover is at the start of a bar

  • Start of the current bar, if the popover is in the middle of a bar

Shift-Tab

Move the cursor and popover to one of the following positions, whichever is closest:

  • Next/Previous note or rest

  • Next/Previous rhythmic grid position (chord symbols/figured bass)

  • Next/Previous character in the entry

Right Arrow/Left Arrow

Move the popover to the next/previous chord symbol/figure

Ctrl/Cmd-Right Arrow/Ctrl/Cmd-Left Arrow
