- Etude Elements
Etude Elements sounds are now included with Dorico Elements. See Playback templates.
- Proofreading improvements
Dorico Elements now performs proofreading checks for issues relating to instrument ranges and repeat structures. See Types of proofreading issues.
- Automatic playback template
Dorico Elements now provides an Auto playback template, which detects which sounds you have installed on your computer that have factory default playback templates and updates the current project to use as many sounds as possible. See Playback templates.
- Condensing improvements
You can now edit the appearance and position of rests on condensed staves in more circumstances. See Moving rests vertically.

Highlights
- Marching Percussion Basics
Marching Percussion Basics sounds are now included with Dorico Elements. See Playback templates.
- Fill view
This new view type displays music across multiple, vertically-stacked systems, whose width is determined by the current size of the music area. See View types.
- View Options dialog
The View Options dialog is now available in all versions, not only Dorico for iPad. It has been expanded to include almost all view options, allowing you to create your preferred setup in one place, and save those settings as the default for new projects. See View Options dialog.
- Jump bar
You can now change the settings of specific options via the jump bar. See Jump bar.
- Proofreading
Dorico Elements can now perform proofreading checks on your music. Extensive proofreading categories help you to identify potential issues that might affect rehearsals, performances, or recordings. See Proofreading.
- Cycle playback
Looping specific passages of music in playback is now possible. See Cycle playback.
- Transfer user settings
You can now transfer user settings between computers more easily, by exporting and importing user settings files. See User settings.

- OpenType font features
You can now use OpenType font features in font, paragraph, and character styles. See Edit Font Styles dialog, Paragraph Styles dialog, and Character Styles dialog.
- System-attached items
Finer control over the staff positions of system-attached items is now possible on a per-item basis. See Changing the positions of system-attached items.
- Tempo marks
Tempo marks now use paragraph styles, allowing you to set different font sizes for tempo marks in full score layouts and part layouts. See Tempo mark paragraph styles.
- Large time signatures
The exact position and alignment of large time signatures shown on bracketed groups is now customizable. See Changing the size and position of time signatures.
