You can use the Proofreading panel to navigate directly to issues identified by Dorico Elements and to review their context. You can then resolve them by editing the music accordingly.

Procedure
  1. In Write mode, in the Notations toolbox, click Panels , then Proofreading to show the Proofreading panel.
  2. In the Proofreading panel, click the issue that you want to resolve.

The view in the music area automatically moves to bring the corresponding rhythmic position into focus, and a temporary animated highlight appears.

    • Rectangle highlights indicate issues with existing music.

    • Arrow highlights indicate absences, such as missing dynamics, or invisible issues, such as instrument changes with insufficient switch time.

  3. In the music area, edit the music according to the suggestion.

For example, if the proofreading issue identified a missing playing technique, input a playing technique.

Result

As you remove issues from the music, they automatically disappear from the Proofreading panel.

Note

Proofreading issues can reappear in the Proofreading panel, if subsequent changes you make to your music cause the corresponding issues to recur.
