    • Filter field: Allows you to search for categories according to your entry.

    • Clear Filter: Removes your entry from the Filter field.

    • Categories: Contains a list of the available proofreading categories. Categories are displayed in the Proofreading panel when their checkbox is activated.

    • Selection options: Allow you to select/deselect all categories. For example, you can deselect all categories and then activate the checkbox of a single category that you want to display.

Categories menu in the Proofreading panel

The Flows menu contains a list of all the flows in the project. Flows are displayed in the Proofreading panel when their checkbox is activated.

At the bottom of the list, selection options allow you to select/deselect all flows. For example, you can deselect all flows and then activate the checkbox of a single flow that you want to display.

  5. Show ignored

Hides/Shows ignored proofreading issues in the list. When shown, ignored issues appear grayed out.

  6. Clear ignored issues

Allows you to remove the ignored status of all issues in the project.

  7. Proofreading issues list

Displays all the proofreading issues in the current layout and selected proofreading categories and flows, if applicable.

Clicking a proofreading issue in the list automatically moves the view in the music area to bring the corresponding rhythmic position into focus. A temporary animated highlight also appears at the corresponding position.

The list updates automatically as you input and edit your music. When you edit music to remove the sources of proofreading issues, those issues disappear from the Proofreading panel. However, both new and old proofreading issues can appear in the Proofreading panel, if subsequent changes you make to your music cause the corresponding issues to recur.

    Tip

When proofreading is enabled, the current number of issues is also displayed in the Proofreading button in the Notations toolbox.
