You can change which tools appear in the status bar; for example, to reduce the minimum project window width.
Procedure
Right-click in the status bar, then choose the tool that you want to hide/show.
For example, to hide the summary of the current selection, choose Selection Summary so that no tick appears beside it.
Result
The corresponding tool is hidden/shown in the status bar in the current project and all future projects on your computer.
