The View Options dialog allows you to change the visual elements shown in the music area, including hiding/showing signposts, highlights, and note and rest colors. You can save your settings as the default for new projects.
You can open the View Options dialog in any mode in any of the following ways:

Press Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-V.

The View Options dialog contains the following sections:
- Note and Rest Colors

Allows you to hide/show colors for notes and rests in different contexts, including voices, notes out of range, and hidden noteheads.
- Pages and Bar Numbers

Allows you to change the page view page arrangement for all layouts. Also allows you to hide/show guide bar numbers and guide page numbers.
- Invisibles

Allows you to hide/show non-printing elements, including signposts, comments, and the system track.
- Highlights

Allows you to hide/show colored highlights for various notations, including chord symbol regions and MIDI trigger regions.
At the bottom of the dialog, there are the following options:

Save as Default
Saves all options currently set and applied in the dialog as the default for new projects.

Reset to Saved Defaults
Resets all the options in the dialog to your saved defaults.

Reset to Factory
Resets all the options in the dialog back to the default factory settings. This only affects the current project and does not delete your saved defaults, meaning future projects still start with your saved defaults.

Remove Saved Defaults
Deletes your previous saved defaults without resetting the options in the current project. After removing your saved defaults, all future projects start with the default factory settings.
