Dorico Elements provides options that control how the notes that you press on MIDI keyboards affect chord symbol input and navigation.

When inputting chord symbols using a MIDI keyboard, by default the popover advances automatically to the next beat after you play a chord.

You can assign specific keys or buttons on your MIDI keyboard to the available Note Inputand thenAdvance Chord Symbol Input navigation commands.
