The MIDI trigger regions popover allows you to input notes for playback that are not shown in the music.

You can open the MIDI trigger regions popover in Write mode in any of the following ways when either an item is selected or the caret is active:

  • Press Shift-0.

  • In the Notations toolbox, click Popovers , then MIDI Trigger Region .

  • Select an existing MIDI trigger region and press Return.

  • Choose Writeand thenCreate MIDI Trigger Region.

Notes by pitch and octave

Note

Follows your middle C numbering convention setting.

C0, Db1, E2, F#3, and so on

Notes by MIDI note number

12, 25, 40, 54, and so on

Chords

Separate notes with commas, such as C4,E4,G4 or 60,64,67

Notes/Chords with velocity

Play notes/chords on a MIDI keyboard

Specify velocity

Enter (0) to (127) after the final note
