You can change the size and shape of individual graphic slices after they have been created.

Prerequisite

Graphic Slices Graphic Slices button is selected in the Engrave toolbox.

Procedure

  1. Select the middle handle on an edge of the graphic slice whose size or shape you want to change.
    Note

    You can only select a single handle on a single graphic slice at a time.

  2. Move the handle in any of the following ways:
    • To move it a standard amount to the right, left, up, or down, press Alt/Opt plus the corresponding arrow key. For example, press Alt/Opt-Left Arrow to move handles to the left.

    • To move it a large amount, press Ctrl/Cmd as well as the standard key command. For example, press Ctrl/Cmd-Alt/Opt-Left Arrow to move handles a large amount to the left.

    • Click and drag the handle to the right/left or upwards/downwards.

    Note

    You can only move handles on the right/left edges of graphic slices to the right/left. You can only move handles on the top/bottom edges of graphic slices upwards/downwards. For example, if you want to make a graphic slice wider, you can select the middle handle on the right edge of the graphic slice and move it to the right.

  3. Optional: Repeat steps 1 and 2 for any other edge of the graphic slice you want to move to achieve the size and shape you want.

Result

The size and/or shape of the selected graphic slice is changed.

Note
  • Graphic slices may appear with different sizes/shapes if you change the page size, orientation, or margins in the layout.

  • You can also change the size/shape of graphic slices by using the Left, Top, Right, and Bottom properties in the Frames group of the Properties panel.
