You can import visual items and options from a source library into the current project, from all options in the source library down to individual options; for example, to reuse a specific project’s settings in a new project. The source library can be another project, a .doricolib file, your user library, or Dorico’s factory library.

Procedure

  1. Choose Library > Library Manager to open the Library Manager.
  2. In the Compare to section, choose the source library that you want to import.
    • To import Dorico’s default settings, choose Factory settings.

    • To import your own default settings, choose User library.

    • To import settings from another project or a .doricolib file, choose Dorico project to open the File Explorer/macOS Finder, locate and select the project or .doricolib file whose settings you want to import, then click Open.

      Tip

You can also drag files from the File Explorer/macOS Finder and drop them into the Compare to section.

  3. Import options from the selected source library as required.
    • To import all options in all categories, click at the top of the Options/Collections lists.

    • To import all options in individual categories, click for the corresponding categories.

    • To import all options in individual sections of categories, click in the corresponding section header in the options comparison.

    • To import individual options, click for the corresponding options.

  4. Click Apply, then Close.

Result

Visual items and options with icons are imported and applied to the current project.
