You can change the direction of fanned beams within phrases to indicate tempo changes.
Prerequisite

The lower zone is shown.

Properties
is selected in the lower zone toolbar. -
Graphic Editing
is selected in the Engrave toolbox.
Procedure
- In Engrave mode, select the notehead at each rhythmic position where you want to change the direction of the fanned beam slope. You can select multiple positions within phrases.
- In the Properties panel, activate Change fanned beam direction in the Beaming group.
