You can generate notes based on chord symbols you have already input, at different rhythmic positions to the original chord symbols.

Procedure

  1. In Write mode, select the chord symbols you want to paste as notes.
  2. Copy the selected chord symbols.
  3. Select an item on each staff and at the rhythmic position from which you want to paste chord symbols as notes.
  4. Choose Edit > Notations > Chord Symbols and Diagrams > Paste Chord Symbols as Notes to open the Generate Notes From Chord Symbols dialog. You can also choose this option from the context menu.
  5. Change the settings as required.

For example, you can change the rhythm of generated notes, and the order in which pitches are distributed to instruments in each group.

  6. Click OK to save your changes and close the dialog.

Result

Notes are generated based on the copied chord symbols and your settings. Notes are distributed to the selected staves, with voicings determined by the instrument order you set.
