You can change the horizontal alignment of individual paragraphs in text frames, independently of the corresponding paragraph style. You can do this on page templates, which changes the alignment of the selected text on all pages that use the page template, and on individual pages, which only changes the alignment of the selected text on that page.
Prerequisite

or Frames
is selected in the Engrave toolbox. -
If you want to change the horizontal alignment of text on a page template, you have opened the page template in the page template editor.
Procedure

In Engrave mode, double-click a text frame to open the text editor for that frame.
Tip
When Frames
is selected in the Engrave toolbox, you can also select text frames and press Return.
Result
The horizontal alignment of the selected text is changed.
Because this overrides the default horizontal alignment of the corresponding paragraph style, any changes you later make to the horizontal alignment of the paragraph style are not applied to the overridden text.
