Hiding/Showing systemic barlines and brackets/braces

You can hide/show systemic barlines and brackets/braces at individual system/frame breaks and codas; for example, when formatting music with incipits.

Prerequisite

  • You have inserted system/frame breaks or codas at the positions where you want to hide/show systemic barlines.

  • Signposts are shown for system/frame breaks.

  • The lower zone is shown.

  • Properties is selected in the lower zone toolbar.

  • If you are in Engrave mode, Graphic Editing Graphic Editing button is selected in the Engrave toolbox.

Procedure

  1. Select the system/frame break signposts or codas at the positions where you want to hide/show systemic barlines. You can do this in Write mode and Engrave mode.
    Note

    You must select either only system/frame break signposts or only codas.

  2. In the Properties panel, activate/deactivate Hide systemic barline in either the Format or Repeat Markers group.

Result

Systemic barlines and brackets/braces are hidden/shown on the corresponding systems to the selected system/frame breaks or codas.
