You can allow/disallow all chord diagrams project-wide to use thumb fingerings on the lowest string; for example, if your project includes chords that are impossible to finger without using the thumb.

Procedure

  1. Press Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-I to open Note Input Options.
  2. In the category list, click Chord Diagrams.
  3. In the Fingering subsection, choose one of the following options for Use of thumb when fingering lowest string:
    • Allow thumb

    • Disallow thumb

  4. Activate/Deactivate Update existing chord diagram fingerings when changing use of thumb.

Result

Thumb fingerings on the lowest string are allowed/disallowed in all chord diagrams project-wide.

If you activated Update existing chord diagram fingerings when changing use of thumb, the fingerings and/or shapes of existing chord diagrams are changed where applicable.
