You can include/exclude individual chord diagram shapes from used chord diagrams grids. This allows you to control how many shapes appear for the same chord.

By default, all chord diagrams in each flow are included in the corresponding used chord diagrams grid.

Prerequisite

  • The lower zone is shown.

  • Properties is selected in the lower zone toolbar.

  • If you are in Engrave mode, Graphic Editing Graphic Editing button is selected in the Engrave toolbox.

Procedure

  1. Select the chord symbols whose diagram shape you want to include/exclude from used chord diagrams grids. You can do this in Write mode and Engrave mode.
    Note

To exclude a chord diagram that occurs multiple times in the flow, you must select all occurrences.

  2. In the Properties panel, activate/deactivate Exclude from chords used at start of flow in the Chord Symbols group.

Result

The selected chord diagrams are excluded from used chord diagrams grids when the property is activated for all occurrences of the corresponding shape in the flow.

The selected chord diagrams are included in used chord diagrams grids when the property is deactivated for at least one occurrence of the corresponding shape.
