You can erase the backgrounds of accidentals in all key signatures project-wide that are spanned by ties. This can improve the readability of key signatures in such circumstances.
Procedure
- Press Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-E to open Engraving Options.
- In the category list, click Key Signatures.
- Activate/Deactivate Erase background behind key signature accidentals with erasure of width [n] spaces.
- Optional: Change the value in the value field.
- Click Apply, then Close.
Result
The backgrounds of accidentals in all key signatures project-wide that are spanned by ties are erased when the option is activated, and not erased when the option is deactivated.
The erasure padding around each accidental follows your set value.
