You can override the text shown in player labels individually; for example, if you want to describe condensing on a staff in a different format than is shown by default.
Prerequisite

The lower zone is shown.

Properties is selected in the lower zone toolbar.

Graphic Editing is selected in the Engrave toolbox.
Procedure
- In Engrave mode, select the player labels whose text you want to edit.
- In the Properties panel, activate Custom text in the Player Labels group.
- Enter the text you want to appear in the player labels into the value field.
- Press Return.
Result
The selected player labels are changed to show the text you entered.
Deactivating Custom text returns the corresponding player labels to their default text.

Deactivating properties permanently deletes any custom text entered.

You can change the default appearance and content of player labels on the Condensing page in Engraving Options. For example, you can choose whether or not to include “a3” in player labels for unison passages, such as 1.2.3 a3.
