You can automatically display the full names of all players and instruments in the layout. Player/Instrument lists can appear either comma-separated on a single line or with each name on a separate line.

Prerequisite
  • If you want to add a player/instrument list to a page template, you have opened the page template in the page template editor.

  • If you want to add a player/instrument list into a new text frame, you have input the text frame where you want the list to appear.

Procedure
  1. Double-click the text frame to which you want to add a player/instrument list to open the text editor.
    Tip

When Frames is selected in the Engrave toolbox, you can also select text frames and press Return.

  2. Enter any of the following tokens:
    • To add a list of player names, enter {@playerlist@}.

    • To add comma-separated player names, enter {@playernames@}.

    • To add a list of instrument names, enter {@instrumentlist@}.

    • To add comma-separated instrument names, enter {@instrumentnames@}.

    Tip

You can also access these tokens from the context menu when the cursor is inside a text frame.

  3. Press Esc or Ctrl/Cmd-Return to close the text editor.
Result

The corresponding token is added. It automatically populates with the corresponding full player/instrument names for all players in the current layout.

If you added the token to a page template, the text frame and token are automatically added to all pages in all layouts that use that page template.

Note

Pages with overrides are not updated if you edit the page template.
