About the eLicenser Control Center
The eLicenser Control Center is a utility that allowed for managing music software licenses by various manufacturers.
Since the eLicenser service was shut down on May 20, 2025, the eLicenser Control Center has only one function: to provide licenses contained in a USB-eLicenser (dongle, license plug) or a Soft-eLicenser (virtual license container on the hard drive).
Among other things, the following functions are no longer available:
- Activating or downloading a license by entering an activation code
- Transferring a license between eLicensers
- Changing a license, e.g., through an update
- Using the Maintenance function
- Restoring deactivated Soft-eLicensers (red serial number)
- Updating the license database
Support
Most technical issues with the eLicenser Control Center can be resolved by reinstalling the software.
