Instead of searching the current results list, you can also use the text search to look for files on your hard disks or in VST Sound containers.
Procedure
-
Select the location that you want to use as the starting point for the search.
The higher up in the hierarchy the location, the longer the search takes.
-
In the top left corner of the results list, click the Search Subfolders
button, and enter the search text in the text field.
-
Optional: To restrict the search to the name of the file, activate Search Names Only
on the right of the text field.
- Optional: Click the button to the right of the search field to specify whether you want to search for samples, MIDI patterns, kits, multis, or all types.
-
To start the search, press Return, or click Search/Stop Search.
The files that match the search criteria are listed in the results list.
NoteThe maximum of files that can be displayed in the list is 10,000.
- Double-click a result to show it in the location tree.
