Markers indicate important positions or sections in a sample. They are shown in the waveform display on the Main, Loop, and Decompose pages. You can move markers by dragging them in the graphical display.
-
Sample Start indicates the position where playback of the sample is initiated when a zone is triggered. Any audio preceding this marker is skipped.
-
Fade In Length indicates the end point of the fade-in. The fade-in starts at the Sample Start.
-
Sample Start Range indicates the end of the attack phase of a sample. The range between the Sample Start and Sample Start Range markers can be used for the modulation of the sample start.
-
Sustain Loop Start indicates the start of the sustain loop.
-
Sustain Loop End indicates where the sustain loop ends. When this marker is reached, playback jumps back to the sustain loop start. Any audio after this marker is ignored.
-
Release Start indicates the position at which playback starts when a note-off message is received.
This allows for a realistic release note-off behavior without the need to use extra release samples. To avoid unwanted clicks when jumping to the release marker, you can set a crossfade time and curvature on the Loop tab in the parameter section.
-
Release Loop Start indicates the position where the release loop starts.
-
Release Loop End indicates the position where the release loop ends. When this marker is reached, playback jumps back to the release loop start.
-
Fade Out Length indicates the start point of the fade-out. The fade-out ends at the Sample End.
-
Sample End indicates the position where the sample stops playing.
Loop markers are only shown in the display if the corresponding loop is set up on the Loop page.
