The spectral oscillator pages are divided into several sections.
Wave/Spectrogram Display
At the top of each page, you can find the wave/spectrogram display.
On the Multi, Filter, FX, and Analysis pages, this section shows the spectrogram of the loaded sample.
On the Osc and Sample pages, the wave/spectrogram section is larger than on the other pages, and you can choose to display the sample waveform, the spectrogram, or a combination of both.
-
The white line in the display represents the playback position. You can drag the line or click in the display to adjust the playback position.
-
For the parameters Start Range, Release Start, Loop Start and Loop End, markers are shown in the display. You can drag the markers to change their position. To do so, position the mouse pointer in the lower section of the marker line, so that it turns into a double arrow, and drag.
Spectrum Display
Below the wave/spectrogram display, the Multi, Filter, FX, and Analysis pages feature a spectrum display, which shows the spectrum at the current playback position.
The Multi, Filter, and FX pages display the “live” spectrum. Settings such as modulations or effects are taken into account. During playback, the curve follows the playback position and gives you visual feedback on the sound. For each active multi-oscillator voice, a separate curve is shown in the spectrum display. If the Blur effect is activated, it is represented by a separate, dedicated curve.
Unlike the other pages, the Analysis page shows the unmodified input of the oscillator, allowing you to adjust the analysis settings prior to the resynthesis of the sample. The formant envelope curve allows you to find the optimal setting for the Formant Resolution parameter.
Parameter Section
In the lower half of each page, you can find the parameter section.
