How to uninstall the eLicenser Control Center / License Control Center

How to uninstall the eLicenser Control Center is covered in detail in this article.

This may be necessary in exceptional cases to solve persistent problems with the eLicenser Control Center or a USB-eLicenser or if you intend to remove the eLicenser-based license management to make room for its successor called Steinberg Licensing.

Important: Always quit all programs before uninstalling! It is also recommended disconnecting USB-eLicensers from the computer first and reconnecting them only after the successful reinstallation.

eLicenser Control Center

The following files have to be deleted manually to completely remove the eLicenser Control Center:

eLicenser Control Center on Mac OS X / macOS

Please use the uninstaller that comes with the latest eLicenser Control Center version.

Important: Please close all applications before starting the uninstallation!

Afterwards, please verify whether any of these files are still on the system and delete them manually.

Note that since Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) the Library folder is hidden by default. You can access it by choosing "Go" from the menu while holding down the ALT key. This adds the "Library"-entry to the list.

Please uninstall eLicenser Control Center as explained on this page.
Important: Please close all applications before starting the uninstallation!
Afterwards, please verify whether any of these files and folders are still on the system and delete them manually.

After uninstalling the Syncrosoft License Control Center using the standard Control Panel > Programs and Features (XP: Software) function, check whether the following files are still there and remove them manually.

To see all files and folders, please check whether Windows Explorer is configured correctly: Menu Tools (in Vista you have to press "Alt" to see the menus) > Folder Options > View > Hidden files and folders > Show hidden files and folders
