Nuendo 8: Windows freezes/crashes during audio export/mixdown
Problem
During the audio mixdown/export with Nuendo 8, Windows freezes. To be able to continue work, the system must be restarted.
Reason
The problem only occurs on Windows systems equipped with a NVIDIA Quadro graphics card.
Solution
NVIDIA recommends the following steps to affected customers:
- Open the NVIDIA control panel.
- Go to 3D Settings ▸ Manage 3D Settings ▸ Global Settings.
- Set the 'Global preset' to 'Workstation App - Dynamic Streaming'.
- Click 'Apply' and close the control panel.
