The Grand 3 ReWire - Performance Issues with Pro Tools

Depending on the computer system, ProTools might not allow a smooth usage of The Grand 3 with low latencies. In these cases a buffer size (latency) of 1024 samples at least is recommended.

If you need lower latencies, here are some options for you:

• Set the Pro Tools CPU usage to 75% (or smaller) when using Rewire .
  
  
• Switch to the "Asynchronous ReWire Processing Mode". To do so, please right-click on "ReWire Mode" when The Grand 3 is running as a ReWire application and activate the "Asynchronous ReWire Processing Mode". 
  
   
  
  
• In some cases it can also be helpful to reduce the number of cores that ProTools uses in the ProTools preferences.
  

• Use the FXpansion VSTwrapper to circumvent the ReWire mode.
