Procedure
- In the Waveform display of the Audio Editor, make a selection.

Cut the audio in one of the following ways:

Select the Edit tab, and click Cut.

Press Ctrl/Cmd-X.

Select how to insert the selection:

To insert the audio, click the desired position in the same file or in another file.

To replace a section of the audio, select it.

To paste the selection, do one of the following:

Select the Edit tab, and click Paste.

Press Ctrl/Cmd-V.

Result
The selection is removed from its original position and inserted where you paste it.
Note
To undo a transfer to another file, you must first undo the pasting in the destination window and then undo the cutting operation in the source window.
