You can import markers from CSV files.
CSV marker files are commonly used by quality assurance teams to mark specific points in audio recordings.
In WaveLab Pro, importing CSV marker files is primarily intended for retrieving information from external applications. To transfer marker information internally; that is, within WaveLab Pro, we recommend using the XML import feature instead.
Prerequisite
-
You have exported a CSV marker file from an external audio application that supports this format; for example, Nuendo, or generated a CSV marker file via a spreadsheet application.
NoteAlthough the CSV format is clearly defined, there is no standard for CSV files in connection with audio. WaveLab Pro accommodates standard separators, such as tab, comma, and semicolon. For time-related fields, WaveLab Pro supports either:
-
a timecode with frames in milliseconds or
-
a timecode with a specific frame rate aligning with the time ruler of the active file or
-
a sample position, with the active file sharing the same sample rate as the audio application that was used to generate the CSV file
-
-
You have created and opened an audio file or an audio montage in WaveLab Pro.
Procedure
- Open the Markers window.
- Select .
- Select the CSV file that you want to open.
- Click Open.
- Make the required adjustments in the Import Markers from CSV File dialog, and click OK.
